Verso 4 Reversible Airbag Harness
The Gin Verso 4 is my top harness recommendation for students moving into their first personal setup. It solves a problem I see constantly — pilots who want one harness that works for everything from training hill sessions to mountain hike & fly days without choosing between protection, comfort, and packability. The reversible design means you can reverse it into a rucksack for the hike up.
The rucksack is fully ergonomic and more than enough for a wing, reserve, and everything else you need for a day on the hill. The new ABS geometry improves roll stability and gives more precise feedback from the wing in turbulent air — something that matters a lot as students progress from training hills to real mountain flying. The simplified clip-in system is genuinely beginner-friendly without cutting corners on security. The airbag protector inflates quickly and holds its shape well through turns and turbulence. This harness has a rigid seat-board which is great for leveraging youir bodyweight into thermals. For a new pilot who is going to take some tumbles learning to kite, having that protection built in is genuinely important. Carabiners, speed-bar, rescue container, and handles are all included.
