At just 2.41kg in the smallest size, the Doubleskin 2 is built using Nova's lightest available materials without compromising the passive safety that defines a true EN-A. A new airfoil and a further-back A-line attachment make it notably collapse resistant, while the more complex internal structure — extra diagonal ribs and vector tapes compared to its predecessor — keeps the wing stable in accelerated flight and through unstable air. High damping in turbulence means it stays smooth rather than rolling around under you.
Launch behaviour is genuinely easy across a wide range of conditions and techniques. The Kevlar risers are twist-resistant and color-coded for simple line sorting, which matters when you're setting up solo on an unfamiliar alpine launch. Nova designed this wing so the pilot doesn't have to adapt their technique to the glider — it adapts to you.
Four sizes cover a 55-120kg weight range. The smallest size (16) is particularly interesting — flown at high wing loading in the extended weight range, it's actually certified EN-B and can be flown as an agile mini-wing, giving you genuine range from a single glider as your skills progress.
