Gin Yeti 6 Paraglider EN-A Hike & Fly

The Gin Yeti 6 is the wing I'd recommend to any student who catches the flying bug and immediately starts thinking about the mountains. It's Gin's dedicated hike & fly EN-A — lightweight, incredibly easy to launch, and versatile enough to be a school wing, a thermal wing, or a dynamic mountain wing depending on how you load it.

The Yeti series has always been known for its launch behavior and the 6 continues that tradition. Inflation is smooth and progressive in all wind conditions across every type of terrain — steep alpine slopes, technical mountain launches, school hills. It just goes up cleanly without drama. That consistency builds confidence fast, which is exactly what a new pilot needs when they're setting up in unfamiliar terrain without an instructor standing next to them.

Handling was deliberately tuned with students in mind. Brake travel is long and progressive with a direct feel — there's zero tendency to enter a spiral dive if a student inadvertently pulls too much brake, which matters a lot during the learning phase. At lower wing loadings it's a perfectly suitable school wing. At higher loadings it becomes genuinely dynamic and fun for experienced mountain pilots. Four sizes cover 50-125kg across standard and extended weight ranges.

The 2026 update brings Nitinol leading edge reinforcements that simplify folding and minimize packed volume — already one of the most compact wings in this category. New color options in Lime, Turquoise, and Orange. Custom color configurations available on request. Comes with inner compress bag, compression strap, repair kit, and Gin stickers.

For students at FlyWithJordan with a serious interest in hike & fly from the start, the Yeti 6 is the wing I'd point you toward. Call before purchasing to confirm the right size for your weight and intended use.
