The Cyclone is a semi-reflex wing available in 34, 38, and 42 square meter sizes, with a PPG weight range from 100kg all the way up to 450kg across the larger sizes. What makes the Cyclone exceptional for trike work is the A-Assist system. This links the A-risers directly to the trike frame, so the trike pulls the leading edge up during launch rather than the pilot. The pilot's hands stay free for throttle and steering from the very beginning of the inflation — a significant safety advantage when operating a heavy trike with a passenger on board.
Handling is surprisingly light for a wing this capable.
BGD's brake-reefing system keeps brake pressure manageable so you don't need to be physically powerful to fly it. The Roller-Cam trimmers glide smoothly on and off, and dedicated tip-steering handles with magnetic keepers make high-speed maneuvering easy and safe. Cruise speed at trims-out reaches 70km/h.
Construction quality reflects BGD's most demanding standards. The Cyclone is the strongest and most durable wing BGD has ever built — Porcher Skytex 38g/m² top surface, Porcher Eazyfly bottom surface, 20mm Kevlar/Nylon webbing risers, Sprenger pulleys, and Liros lines throughout. DGAC registered in all three sizes. Load tested to 550kg.
